In Memory Of Sid White

Charles Sidney "Sid" White, 67, of Fort Worth, Texas, died Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.
Sid was born June 15, 1953, in Meridian, Texas to parents Sidney Jones "S. J." White, Jr. and Helen Nadine White, who preceded him in death, and was raised in Kopperl, Texas. Sid's competitive spirit helped him thrive at everything he did - from a successful career in sales and management to golfing with his many buddies, including membership of the Miller Golf Club and twice winning his way into the Colonial Pro-Am. He also enjoyed watching the Mavs, restoring old cars, sharing his love of basketball with his daughter, and being Paw Paw to his grandchildren.
Sid was a devoted husband to his wife of 40 years, Julie Meadows White, of Fort Worth; father to Teresa White of Fort Worth and Jessica Miller (Jordan) of Flower Mound; and Paw Paw to Matthew Clay of Fort Worth, and Ava Byrom, Kate Byrom and Lawson Miller of Flower Mound.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Sidney Jones White and Maude Lee White, and Charlie Williams and Mary Lee Williams. Additional survivors include his brother, Bob White (Julia) of Burleson, Texas; sister, Patsy Delaune (Troy) of Lakeside Village, Texas; niece and nephews, Melissa Hatton, Jeremy White, and J. D. Griffith.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 14, 2020, from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at Greenwood Funeral Home, 3100 White Settlement Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76107. Due to COVID-19 precautions attendance will be limited to no more than 40 people in the chapel at a time, and a mask is required.
Funeral services will follow the visitation at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 14th, and will likewise be limited to no more than 40 people.
A graveside service at Greenwood Memorial Park will immediately follow the 10:00 a.m. funeral service, with an unlimited number of friends and family able to attend.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
