In Memory Of Buddy Walker

Marshall H. "Buddy" Walker Jr., 79, passed away Friday, Aug. 4, 2017. FUNERAL: 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Marshall was born Nov. 15, 1937, to Marshall H. Sr. and Jewell Walker in Fort Worth. He was a graduate of North Side High School where he was on the varsity golf team. He married his beloved wife of 58 years on March 28, 1959. He worked in the garment manufacturing business for 29 years starting at Williamson-Dickie and then Salty's Apparel. The next 30 years of his career were spent at Avcor Healthcare Products where he retired as senior vice president of Manufacturing. His life's passion was to travel the world playing golf. He loved holidays, family gatherings, and especially Christmas. Marshall was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Huey; and brother, Johnny Walker. SURVIVORS: Wife, Janice Walker; daughter, Karen Dix and husband, Russell; sons, Scott Walker and wife, Tracey, and Blaise Walker and wife, Carla; grandchildren, Michael Dix and wife, Amber, Marcus Dix and fiancee, Rachel Spinks, Blake Walker, Reese Walker, and CyAnn Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.
