In Memory Of Tommy Garcia

Tommy H. "Popo" Garcia Jr. passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Sunday, June 21, 2015. Service: Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Cathedral. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Rosary: 6 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Olivet.

Tommy was born March 12, 1928, in Fort Worth. He was a member of the American Legion, Lions Club and Knights of Columbus. Tommy was a veteran of World War II who served his country as a paratrooper. Throughout his life he was an avid golfer and hunter who enjoyed the outdoors

He cherished all the time he spent with loved ones and, in doing so, leaves behind his legacy and love for his family.

Tommy was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Bermejo Garcia; a daughter, Connie Frances Garcia; son, Jimmy C. Garcia; granddaughter, Evelynn D. Garcia; grandson, Ernest J. Garcia; and great-great-grandson, Angelo "AJ" Ramirez. Survivors: Daughters, Pauline Oseguera and Mary Diana Olivarez; grandchildren, Eve Angela Almaguer, Elizabeth Ann Martinez, Sonia Anaya, Gregory Villarial, Veronica Tristan, Jimmy Edward Garcia, Stephanie Olivarez and Beatrice Rangel; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
